What storm damage can look like

Storm damage is not always obvious from the ground. A roof may show missing shingles, lifted shingles, exposed underlayment, damaged vents, punctures, hail marks, bruised shingles, damaged gutters, or signs of water intrusion.

Hail damage

Dents or marks on soft metals, vents, gutters, or flashing
Granule loss or bruising on shingles
Damage to screens, fencing, paint, or exterior fixtures

Wind damage

Missing shingles or tabs
Lifted or creased shingles
Damaged ridge caps or flashing
Leaks appearing after a storm
